87 320 auto orange relays

after taking out my glove box i found two orange fuses attached,i think one is the auto start but not sure on other one,however with them removed nothing changes i.e engine starts all electrics work etc any one know why or what they do?and if so why aint they doing it

Dim dip driving lights. With the relays removed, your dipped beam headlamps will only work at reduced power.

oh thats great,so both of them,one for each side?would that make the check panel fault light come as one of the relays was out?
