m3 evo full of water

Hi all.

Recently bought a m3 evo. After the rain this weekend the drivers side carpet is literally soaking and when the carpet is lifter there is about 15mm of water in addition to a drenched carpet. The car wasn't driven so it must be getting in.

Is there any popular e36 areas that may cause this?

not something i've read much about.

there are apparently drains on the bulkhead which can block, similar to the e30 elephants trunk, and i think the suroof drains into the sill, so might be worth taking the kick panel covers and speakers out and having a poke around.
