Love these threads, loads of home fabrication and plenty pics to boot, you dont see them much on here no more.

With your fabrication skills you could get the Borbets mirror polished using this method.
Some kind of motor and a serpentine belt. But please be careful

Or the hardcore method....

I polished these using a Bubble shape Rover 214.

Sick build. Can't wait to see more.
Saw this on the A610 driving toward the Motorway a couple of Thursdays back, looked well
As above, how does it drive then?
@ aj_mckay - I would say that potentially this hasn't been built in comparison to a M20B25 as a hunch?

How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.
Oh yeah, I'm sure you're right and I wasn't suggesting that. Just that it originally had the M20B25 so was the only obvious comparison and I genuinely haven't heard many opinions of these diesel enginesDuke137 wrote:...@ aj_mckay - I would say that potentially this hasn't been built in comparison to a M20B25 as a hunch?

My brother's got an e36 325tds saloon, crap in the corners, but goes like stink on the straights. We think it may have been chipped at some point as it really pins you in your seat. He gets 34mpg avg. Mainly round town / a roads.GemE30 wrote:Should've flashed / waved Duke, I do that run everyday lol.
It drives really well, reasonably good on fuel, haven't noticed much difference compared to the M50 (it's the only 2.5 I can compare it with) in that case. I only drove it as an M20 off the truck and onto my drive so can't really comment what it was like before.
We've not really tested the power, it's still got a few bits to sort out and fix, but it will be getting rolling roaded at some point.
I raced him in his old TD non s, I was was in an e34 525i sport M50, and could only just pull on him.
great conversion.

Was that the "wonderland" classic meet?
Looking good in the pics. I'm sure I saw this car round ollerton way last year? Could be wrong though.
don't forget to get the pics up after the photo shoot lol.

Not a fan of the black rear lights, a bit 90s max power. IMO all red or standard rear lights only works on the e30.
Great conversion, glad someone finally stuck an oil burner in an E30
Any vids of it? They sound quite cool with a straight through exhaust!
As above though I'm afraid, the rear lights are too dark with the green I think. Maybe a lighter tint

Really cool car! Think the height and Borbets really suit it.
Any chance you could get this road up on google maps so I know where to find it in future please? Looks like the one I found a couple of years back when I used to live in Nottingham, went on an awesome drive out, but have never found it since as I was just taking random turns, going places I'd never been before.
Although, actually maybe it was a different place, haha:
