i have a beige convertible carpet which i shall be attempting to dye red (when the monsoon season is over....next July??).
i'm not sure my carpet
is an exact match for the seat colour (cardinal) but it's probably as near as possible, so i will just search for as similar a dye as possible
i'm not sure my carpet

Not seen this before, interesting. Would be good to get a sample colour, to compare! Shipping from Oz, plus duty wouldn't be good, but interesting to know the costs. E30 carpet is 1 piece of course, not including the 3 trim pieces under the rear seat. Request a sample?matt86 wrote:Found this, if you scroll down the add, it shows a list of colours and one says dark red and looks very similar to cardinal, but I won't know for sure till I order and it arrives and I worry that you will never get a perfect match, but wouldn't be bothered if it was only one shade different, as long as it was pretty much the same

I did wonder this if the sample is free may be worth doing, just to try and match up.
I was thinking surely there must be a few carpet companys either automotive or leisure, that can mix up the colour or at least do a similar colour, I may do a bit of research get some samples and then let you all know, as it would be useful for other people on the zone too, that are considering doing this

Think they were only 1000 t1's eer built, is that correct if so this is one of, if not the best left. 50,000 miles 3 owners from new. 25,000 spent on restorin it to as new condition.pacerpete wrote:adit wrote:watch out Matt, the Pacer's sniffing around!matt86 wrote:AND SOME OF THE BENTLEY T1 FOR E30 TOPLESS AND ANYONE ELSE THAT MIGHT BE INTERESTED, SORRY ITS NOT A E30![]()

As for looking Matt, new leather normally is, only well used leather is shiney when worn.

Damn that looks awesome! The dying job appears to be absolutely brilliant and the colour is lovely, works really well with the blue car.
I guess it cost a pretty penny though...still need to work out what to do with my interior (and crack on with the car, just don't have time at the moment).

I know this is old but just wondering once its dyed and sealed etc, when ever you want to clean the actual material, can you still use leather cleaner or does it have to be something different like a slightly damp cloth or just Hoover and dust don't know what I'm saying just spit balling...

need to get the electric roof working and horseshoe to close properly, then a bit of paint to front splitter, horseshoe, passenger rear quarter and bootlid and also fit mtech2 skirts and pods which I'm hopefully doing this weekend. Hoping to have it finished by may.verde wrote:Yes man thats the intention, wanna come meet some you folks.

not yet I think I'm going to get one this weekend got a cruise up to Stafford, to collect that, then driving back home via solihull to meet rav and get the pods/skirts fitted, awaiting confirmation from him first though.Rich320I wrote:oil cooler sorted mate?
hows things with you? Hows yours running? I'm moving to live in Exeter in a few days so trying to get as much sorted on the car before I go as possible.
its having new balljoints today and tracking done, and I've just finished dyeing the beige carpets black with good results
