e30 325 turbo conversion

Hi does anyone know where i can purchase a turbo kit for my e30 that is any good as every one i have looked at have bad reviews or are missing bits,if there isnt such a thing as an off the shelf complete kit can anybody list the best route to go down.any help is much appreciated as i am new to forced induction.

nope there is no of the shelf kit avaliable best kit will be make it your self

hmmmmmm at a squeeze maybe but will prob be really basic
its alright with all the bolt on bits like turbo intercooler etc but its the bit that aint made for the job are you will or can you make an exhaust for it downpipe etc
have you thought about what management your going to run it on then when you start hitting 300 bhp with isnt really hard on these how you going to stop it etc etc it goes on and on and on lol

exhaust and brakes isnt a problem i made my own for my m3 evo powered e30 a couple of years ago, its just the forced induction side im new to,i.e best manifold to use [budget allowing],and were to purchase the right injectors,and software to run run it also best head bolts to use etc

Pre facelift or facelift engine? has it been rebuilt? doing the work yourself? I think you will struggle with a budget of £1500, seen it done but I don't think it will last long !

injectors best place to buy anything really is the usa injectors your looking at about 250 ecu to run it your looking at new 500 you can buy second hand of corse head bolts you can either use 12.9 bolts non stretch or i can get arp head studs
and yeah what engine is it ??

its a 325 m sport 1990 if that helps engine was rebuilt 3000 miles ago,will be doing all the work myself apart from tuning

gd base to start then, well you can either buy a cheap ebay manifold, a 800 pounds 666 fab manifold or make one ya self ecu there is a choise theres gunni on here can suppliy and fit you a vems there megasquirt which are realitily cheap i think fowlers got one for sale at the moment

are the ebay manifolds any good ?theres one for for sale which comes with a turbo as well but im tipping the turbo isnt worth 50 pence lol

what turbo do most people go for,im guessing one off a truck wont fit in the space [shame]

Truck one would be fine it aldepends what your power goals are a standard engine will run a bar of boost at about 350 bhp if that's the cast you need something with a 60mm turbine

do i need to do anything else to the head apart from the arp studs ?will the standard head gasket and pistons etc take 350bhp

You'll need 42lbs or 440cc lime greens best place is USA just look on eBay and type 42lb injectors they'll be about 250 quid mind new might find some cheaper

at a cost yeah there 300quid over here but having said that I can get you some cheaper than normal ;)

I'd say there about the same I've got new can and new rockers in mine and some thing still ticks so I'm assuming it's the injectors

I'd suggest you do abit more research tbh theres plenty on here including my self that's done it get the best you can buy that's my advice
