The man made nature of the carpet doesn't enable it to be dyed. Many have tried! Its akin to dyeing plastic, all you can do is "paint" it, and it doesn't last long, rubbing off as soon as you step on it.

Black carpet....unless you really want the inside of the car to look like a) a murder scene b) a tampon after a heavy month.... 8O

With the black heel mat it looks odd to be honest and looks cleaner in my view like this: Red seats, black carpet.
Full Red looks a lot better though.

Full red is best.

I think the heel mat in my photo (not my car) has been repaired by the look of it??

I was thinking either black carpet with red cars mats or red carpet with black car mats. Then leave all the door cards and plastics red, leave gearstick gaiter black. Nice to have a bit of black to break it up, don't like the full black doorcards though. Looks like 2,d hand black carpet, or dye it black. Mine will take the dye ok as it has the thicker pile, more luxury carpets.

I agree. But you could try kolorbond.co.uk give them a call and find out, seems like the best stuff for painting plastics, vinyl etc.
