Any one know how much of a difference a lambda makes to the running of a m50 if not working correct?

Definitely over-fuelling. I'm not running one at the moment due to some construction on my wiring harness... Long story.


Anyway... I run a wideband sensor and gauge read-out, when I had my sensor in; the car would idle at 14.6 AFR (14.6 parts air to one part fuel) and it cruise at around 13.9. Now (without the sensor)... I cruise around 13.5 and go as rich as 12.6 when I'm nailing it... Idling... well she just doesn't really have a clue what to do. If I'm lucky it will lean out to around 13.7.

This yields me around 250 miles per tank on a 48L tank... NOT COOL!!!

Moral is... get a sensor and make sure it works!

You have other problems then just your O2 being off.
A good setup M50 engine will alot better than that.
