rack gaitors won't stay put...

as above the gaitors on the e46 '067' keep popping over the smaller knuckles on full lock, this issue toasted my previous rack and no amount of cable ties or clips will hold them, using e30 tie rods inner and outer,

Want to solve this before the rack goes pop...

I have used E30 boots in the past with a small nick to let them breath, no problems.
You can use the E46 boots without problems though, I am using E46 tie rods/boots with E36 track rod ends on both my E30's they just squash down a bit on full lock

I have done the above,made a small 8th drill hole in the rubber circles that the boots tie wrapp too.
