Leave the windows up and remove the door card, carefully peel back the plastic liner. Use a pair of pliers to slide the lock retaining clip toward the front of the car, if it won't shift use a screwdriver between the side of the lock barrel and the tag on the clip to prise it off. The lock will push out.

The boot lock needs the liner removed from the rear panel, 2x 10mm bolts and the steel rod prising off.

The ignition barrel can be tricky to remove, I wrote a guide on this a few months ago. Despite several requests for it to be added to the tech articles it hasn't so if you PM me your email address and I'll email it to you.

Cheers,

If it's a 4 door card then emply a child with some very thin arms for the front door locks...

2 door cars are easier to work on...

The lower part of the window guide is held in place by a single bolt, and is designed to be swung up out of the way for easier access to the locks.
Undo the single bolt near the bottom of the door inner panel, pull the metal part down abit so that the felt part slides in it a little, and the lower part of the window guide will unhook just below the bottom of the glass. Unclip the wiring from the clip near the bottom, and the guide can be swung upwards and forwards and hooked into the window mechanism.

Sure can, I wrote an article on this a while ago. PM me your email addy and I'll send you a copy.

Takes literally 5 seconds to remove the old ignition barrel as long as you have the key.

Eko.. you need a paperclip or a very small allen key. Put the key in, and turn to posi 1. You'll notice there's is a hole in the silver part of the ignition barrell. Insert the clip/allen key into this hole, jiggle it while pulling on the key. It SHOULD just pop out. If you have a set to swap in, Try it on that one first. You'll see on the barrell a gold/brass button. When you insert the clip, it pushes a lever ( Im guessing here) inside the barrel, that lifts this button up, allowing you to remove the whole barrel.

As for the door locks.. I was using a LHD door set, and didn't realise that the microswitch for the central locking didn't fit over the barrel. After cursing and freezing my knees, I pulled the whole assembly ( central locking microswitch) and the plate, the lhd barrell doesn't fit the rhd clocking plate. Got the craps with it, cut the old one out, plugged the new one in.. All good.. Don't reccomend doing it in the rain and cold!
