What is it, a poverty-spec 316i with keep-fit windows, by the look of it?

Nice, a proper sleek six-pot sleeper. 8) I would hazard a guess at £600.

nope, £390 whole pounds, it was going to get the m52 i have for sale on here and stay looking pretty much the same but have seen the threads about the m30 and like that idea better now and so does my wallet winkeye

on another note i have been offered a baur for pitance no tax or mot but runs and drives and not rusty, is it a fragger?

Bargain! That could make a proper sleeper with an M30B35 in, particularly if you keep the steelies and wheel trims. In the meantime, you could always chip the M20B20 for bit more poke. winkeye

If the Baur is saveable, save it, or sell it on.

Too many E30s getting fragged for the slightest bit of rust/damage, and they'll only ever go up in value.

Funnily enough ive been looking at your chips and may invest in the not to distant future winkeye

was thinking about getting some 15 inch steelies slightly banded (maybe an inch dish) and put the trims inside???

other thing is when did the facelift come in on e30s?

Facelift came in in September 1987, on the E/F-reg (mostly F-reg, since August was the new registration month, but you do see the odd E-reg facelift).

Banded steelies with trims could look pretty smart.

People always seem to spoil Baurs for some reason. :(

agreed but i want a cheaper conversion and also want to keep it period correct if that makes sense, so nothing within reason newer than the car will go on.
