Here is my new back section, from meatballs at ECP. The lads who put it on are a BMW specialist garage and they reckon it is of good quality and fitted well with only a little persuasion.I don't think you could guarantee a perfect fit onto a shagged out old centre section anyway! Talk to meatballs82 about prices but it was very competitive!

Personally I prefer straight cut tips but I'm happy with these slash cut ones.

I've actually been happy with the oem exhaust for a while now but I have been getting the itch to something a little bit beefier, with the slash cut pipes!

Dilemmas as to what to go for though

Where can i get a backbox filled with kelvar, and how much does it cost?

do they take the baffles out, as baffles are gone in mine so this would be an ideal fix.

Also, is it ok to have it without a centre box?

I think its stainless man, whatever it is i dont like it. Its a nice rip and a wail but. It sits really badly, sorta points down, gap between the tips. Im gunna heat the ends and try bend em a bit and if it still doesnt look better il buy another one. Really lets my car down, its finally looking good bar the gimpy back box

il go get a look under it and get a couple more snaps of it. Finding a new back box will be hard. I dont like the huge twin tipped ones, the DTM ones are ok but theyr a bit big aswell. I might get one mad up

if it is powerflow, i think thats the company that supply the parts for exhaust centres to make exhausts up, so could be that they could just sway the back box over for you if its part of a full system.

someone im sure will buy a stainless back box though mate so you shouldnt be to out of pocket :)

Maybe man, hopefully. My dad knows a guy whos a shit hot welder ( real good ) so I might get him to make something up. its a 3/4 stainless system I think I have. I need to get a hold of a BTB manifold to borrow off someone as I think our mate could actually weld a replica up minus the £1100 fee.
