Wonder if anyone can confirm the correct fluid for an m42 318is gearbox (getrag 240), how much it requires to fill from empty and what size is the allen key needed for the drain and fill plug.
Allen size needed as my mate is fetching me one home to use from work

I have been led to believe that this gearbox takes ATF from the factory is this correct?

I've used ATF dexIII in mine the past two times with no issue. The plugs take a 17mm hex.
