Been moved onto night duty so means haven't got to touch the car.

So have decided to stock up on all needed parts so i can get it all done over a week.

I checked and replacement carpets are NLA. Apart from buying second hand is there an alternative people are using?

I was also toying with the idea of using goodridge brake lines... is there any difference if using a standard brake setup or would I only see a benefit if i increased brake disc size etc.....

Also the padded boot cover that goes around spare wheel well is it still available? I've got one but its a different color to the carpets.

Rambling questions finished

Carpets are specific, the only other thing is to not have one at all I would think. As you stated they are NLA but if they weren't they probably would be 300 million pounds anyway.

Good 2nd hand carpets are easy enough to sort out still at the minute but alot of people can't be arsed to remove them for little reward or they cut them to remove them because they have no patience.

Braided lines are only really effective if everything els on your brake system works well. The benefit of them is that they don't expand like rubber hoses under pressure (pressing the pedal) and even though it is minimal the point is to remove any spongey like feel from the pedal. The other cosmetic benefit is they look good, and they last longer with stainless fittings.

If your car has rear discs you would need a "6 line" kit.

Padded boot cover, do you mean the underlay of the boot carpet? Only some cars came with this as far as I know.... Possibly 325i's & sports but I could be wrong.

hmm yea its finding a good condition 2nd hand one is the problem...
I found this http://worlduph.com/bmw/3_series/e30/sedan_coupe/

It looks cheap... but I was wondering did anyone have new carpets made up by a car trimmer perhaps?

The brake lines have an advisory so might stick in good ridge even if it is just for cosmetic sake. yea car has rear discs so 6 line will be needed, checked on the wiki page earlier in the week

Yea the underlay ... I have one but like I said its black but the carpets are grey :?

You will find a good second hand one! I reckon e30topless has a few in stock in VGC in most colours! Pacerpete is another one who might have a decent one

I wouldn't worry about black underlay mate, its underlay, does it matter? lol

Never heard of anyone getting retrimmed stuff, I would be keen to learn the outcome of anyone who has though. Keep us posted if you do that
