E30 Electic hydraulic roof problem

Hi, I'm a new member and have a great 325i motorsport with an electric hydraulic roof it doesn't work, I've got two ECU's and Two pumps but the thing doesn't even try to move, is there any way of testing the ECU whether its working or not, can you get them repaired / checked out.

If it's eh ther will be a micro switch above the drivers sunviser this is a weak spot tack both sunvisers off then the plastic acros the top of the window then when you find the switch tack the wires of the switch and with a small less of wise short the two caballs togever

Hi, thanks for your quick responses, The micro switch near the sunvisor is working!!! ie it turns the light off on the dash board when closed.

Do you hav all the relays behind the ecu and are all the fuses ok. I think ther is also a seperay fuse by the batty
In a small fuse holder

I think if memery serves me correctly that the switch under the sun viser is not part of the light on the dash
Have you trid with A frend pushing the button and you manually pushing the hood to see if the micro swiches at the start of proses are ok
Wen this hapand to me it was the sunviser swich

Ther is also a pick up behind the cloks that will stop the motor at 5mph

hi, the motor for the hydraulic pump works and the light flashes on the dash, but as for any movement in any of the rams there's none, even if i crack the bolts holding the pipes to the valve unit.
I will check all the relays
How do i override the speed limiter?

With the roof closed and locked, push the switch to open it. Does the pump operate now?

If not open the catches and try again. If it operates then, the sunvisor microswitch is OK

Move back to the microswitches at the horseshoe and check them.

More importantly, do you have the correct Pentosin CHF7.1 fluid in it?

yes i've got the right fluid.
do the relays which are situated behind the pump fail and what are they

No I think if the pump is turning then the relays are ok
Ther is a pitcher on her that shos all positions of micro swiches posh ech one indavigerly and lison for the click. it sounds like a switch falt
