I think my ICV is faulty...the bit inside move from open to close without any resistance...I have 2 other from other models but they have a spring that makes the tab to come back to the same position...

And can I use some kind of sealant between the intake manifold and engine as I think my air leak is there (even if I have new intake manifold gaskets)

Thanks

it's hissing and the idle plays up and down and sometimes the engine cuts... really frustrating and embarrasing

this is what I've done when I've replaced the gaskets...it's fixed now
but I want to use something to seal the manifold properly without doing another damage..

You dont need any sealant on the inlet, ive never known them to leak, some oil on the studs would help though!
Have you changed that broken stud?
Most likely air leaks are around the ICV hoses and the ICV hose to inlet joint.
The ICV should move freely, you should be able to 'rattle' it by twisting it side to side quickly in your hand

yes I can do that...but i have a M52 one and the flap inside always goes back to half open position where mine stays wherever is left...
I've changed the broken stud and all the known hoses and joints been sealed with thread tape (plumber tape) for stiff connection

I've ordered another ICV with the same part number and I'll play with them...but it's hissing like I have an airleak...but when I did the test with carb cleaner or propane around the manifold gaskets nothing happend...

when cold low 500-600 and when warm plays from 500 to 900 or sometime when cold is so low that if I take my foot of the throttle the rev goes down and the engine stalls

is not the blue sensor as Dezzy used another one to block that hole in the engine and I keep changing the connector but same result

have another lambda (aftermarket) but the engine runs the same

have another TPS and same result

only ICV or MAF could be my problem
