Well I did have a M50 2.5 in the car that was running if a little bit underpowered and hesitating, we found it wasnt running properly due to several reasons

Knackerd Fuel Pump
No Lambda
Engine Temp Sensor Fault
Crank Sensor Fault
2.0ltr MAF
Crunchy Gearbox too
etc.....

So thought bugger it an decided to put a M52 2.8 , as most of the bits were already in place from the M50.

All I have to say is:

The service from Dan is excellent

The loom provided from Dan is tidy, and make my old M50 look look like a bird nest

The performance difference is staggering!

The power delivery and vanos kick is great

The car feels like a completly different animal

It is a must do for all!!

So setup is

M52 2.8
M50 Inlet Manifold
DanThe ECU with No EWS and REMAP
Straight Through Exhaust System and Back Box
Cone Filter
3.91 LSD so tops out 120ish but boy does it accelerate!

I love it ;)

You should treat it to a cold air box or OEM air filter though. But I suppose that is on your list of things to do...? winkeye
are oem air boxes the best then? and not any k&n sh*t

good job, would always recommend danthe with all things 24v

btw, i did exactly this, put an m50 in my car which lasted 5000 miles before i got fed up and mr danthe convinced me to go m52 lol. on paper for anyone daft enough to quote paper figures the difference between the 2 engines is brilliant isnt it. much more than you would think anyway..!

enjoy her mate, i know i do every time i drive mine 8)

my engine is currently back out though as im fitting a sachs clutch and had the flywheel shaved ect.... cant wait to get her all back together now
A 2 door e30 with 8 cylinders, what could be better winkeye :D

Hey guys, my first post on these forums!

I was looking to pick up a e30 and have the exact same engine (m52 2.8) planted into it but wouldnt be able to do it myself. Was wondering if you guys could help me out and let me know how much id be looking at to get this done?

Time isnt an issue, if i do it, i plan to work on it long term...

What is required? Is there a particular model I should be looking at picking up to ease the transplant?

Cheers
