Colour is still for me the most difficult decision on my build!
The original colour was Lachs Silver, but like yourself I loved the look of a White M3 so white it was.
Or so I thought :?

Then I started seeing Red
Literally loads of Red E30 M3's at the BMW festival in Gaydon!

Seriously though I think your making a top choice on White & I'm looking Foward to seeing yours finished!
It will be inspiration to keep me focused on finishing mine even though I get days where I get p****d off lol!
And of course yours will be better! If you have the go faster stripes!

Have you looked into wheel sizes yet? I'm fitting M3 style arches to my sprint car, as I want a larger wheel/tyre combo, but am unsure what size rims to use? I'm thinking of staying with 16's but want to get the width & offset right so that they fill the arches properly.

(Also on the hunt for an arch kit should anyone know of one?)

It's the spec' that I need though. I'm not going to be changing from 4x100 but want a rim that will fill the arches properly.

for the arch kit, try the chap i got my kit off, im sure he will sell you a part kit. he is mentioned somwhere in this thread, just have to go back a few pages.

as for my wheels, im going for the BBS RS split rims that are commonly used on e30 m3's not exactly sure on sizes or offsets n all that as il look into it more when time comes to buy some,
iv actualy been to collect my e36 compact rear axle today to start the 5 lug conversion. paid £100 for complete rear axle from a 318Ti compact and buying complete e36 m3 evo front suspention setup (the lot) for £250. so all in i think iv done well, not sure what people typically pay for all this but im happy with it. il get some pictures shortly

oh yeah and car STILL NOT PAINTED! :x

must say....the panel alignment in that top shed is an absolute disgrace !!!...not to mention no bbs ffs ...i mean lets face it ..panel alignment around here is part of the e30zone ten commandments...or so ive heard.

Im surprised all the tools on here are not tearing it apart..limb from limb and checking in cs5 for "blurred pixels" ...i mean common...get that bonnet lined up pleeeeease !!!!

What you forget is that these cars were Purpose driven, not a "Show & Shine" competition.

BLOODY HELL DONT TELL ME ITS GONNA BE A SMASHER LOL
thats the last thing i need is to finish it and smash it. but to be fair, think im more excited than all of you lot to see this thing sat there finished. but i get excited when iv got progress pics to post up and show off to you lot. iv also heard the secret to a good finish in the paintwork is all in the preporation. so lets just see how true that is lol.

im just buzzing at the thought of it sat there painted so i can actualy bolts bits on permanently and see it look like a road worthy car again. winkeye

oh by the way, with the rear axle convertion. im useing the 318ti compact jobby, do i use my old drive shafts or use the 318ti drive shafts? or somthing else? either way im not using the diff shown in picture as i want LSD
