I also agree that PBMW has a lot of yank cars, but that's cause there are not enough modded Brit cars worth featuring.
Like conan say's Americans seem to have a much bigger budget although most of them have no taste. Saying that cars like the Azevido E30 M3 are fantastic and deserve to be front cover. It's the clone E36 with Harmann kits or the E46 with the same that they feature too often that get's annoying. Only way to stop that is for us lot to start putting our money where our mouth is, so guys start spending or shut it it guess is what they'd say

I think you can easily get your car in PBMW no probs mate, show the yanks we also have cool beemers too! I was thinking of sending mine in not for a feature but on that page where they show case other cars and what they done etc.bootyman wrote:I also agree that PBMW has a lot of yank cars, but that's cause there are not enough modded Brit cars worth featuring.

I already have in the March edition along with Dipps and his M3 turbo. I got a small picture on the front cover and a 7 page feature, then i had a 5 page feature in Max Power the following month. I'm hoping to get another feature next month. A proper front cover this time cause i'm working on something for the engine, if it comes off, then i'll have the power to run with some of the top E30's around and i'll have the bling to beat them. I should get a feature then cause the car is much better than when it was festured this year with new much better paint, new engine (If it comes off), bigger wheels, monster brake conversion (360mm disks with 6pot gold callipers) etc. We'll just have to wait and see i guess

the problem about all magazines is that they write little about driving impression which is crucial when you modify a car. I see no point if they present a car with 18'' rims and we dont know how it behaves on a bud surface. Propably we should find a way to write driving impression on our cars. We have all sort

Pah! Bracknell? A mere jaunt. You don't have to negotiate Stockport in the rush hour, the Thirwell Viaduct, the M6 south...Simon13 wrote:see u therekidsinister wrote:Definitely; bought PBMW once, couldn't understand half of it.

See you in the morning guys - drive safely!
Sadly, the M3's heating/demister system has conked out so I'll be in the company Mondullo diesel
As to the features in the mag, I always always try and concentrate on what cars are like to drive (or what the owners think they are like to drive) rather than merely rehashing a tech spec with added waffle

Used to get BMW car mag all the time but as said before its a bit boffin and aimed at the money end of the market. TBMW is the way Ive been going for the passed couple of years. Much more interested in the thoughts and aims of the people that are featured and get a good few steers aswell. PBMW is for the chavs....so many mags I have once liked have gone this way which does annoy me.....full of boobs and sex lines. Always got Fastcar and CCC but one has turned into a (just about) porn mag and one no longer exists (or I cant find it anywhere)
