The heater matrix was leaking a considerable amount in the passengers foot-well.
I took both my front seats out as it was just a matter of quickly taking of four 17mm bolts on each seat and up and out they came. I did this for space and manoeuvrability.
Took the centre interior panels off, to gain access to the heater box and this is where it got a little tricky.
Guys do remember this is not a step by step guide.
Some pictures below:
After taking of the glove box out:

Took off the air diverter duct which is held on with one screw..

Then took of the two 8mm bolts holding on the valve..

Carefully removing it making sure I cause no damage”¦ just before this I had disconnected the two pipes coming in from the engine bay through the bulkhead connecting on to these two pipes.. after removing the two 8mm bolts push out twards the engine and then pull left and slide back and out it should come. Making sure you have disconnected the clip on the top of the valve.

Before taking the last two bolts of for the remaining water pipe it is ideal if you remove your break servo bracket which is held on with four 13mm bolts and four 13mm nuts. There are two pins which connect to the master cylinder and the connecting rod to the brake pedal, be sure to remove these to gain access the nuts which screw on to the back of the break master cylinder.

The two upper 13mm bolts of break servo bracket..

After taking out the pins you can access the four 13mm nuts screwed onto the back of the wall:

Bracket is off

After the bracket is out I then walked over to the bonnet pulled the master cylinder out and then pushed a little down to give me clearance to take out the matrix.

Taking off the last 8mm bolt holding the other pipe this was a little back breaking and awkward to say the least lol

Finally”¦

There are three torx small screws I took just one of them out earlier to drain any access water + coolant as shown

About 3 of these come out
After taking the other two torx screw out comes the old heater matrix

Old and new

New one inserted after soaking up all the water in the heater box:

Guys this is it for today I shall continue tomorrow and show everything back together. Again this is no professional guide as I know I have left loads out however it’s just a few snaps of my progress as of this afternoon.
Hope you all like.. if anybody could give me a few tips or pointers which I can do putting the new one in.
All help is much appreciated
Regards
Jazz
