should do, a M40 is the same (mechanicaly) regarless of the car it is fitted to/in.
Pete don't care about colour, He would shag a rainbow if he could find the end of it....

looks sweet, think only differences tend to be sump and mounts, so as long as you bolt e30 mount arms on should be cool, and obv swap sumps if they different.

All from e30 m40 engine would probably be needed:
Engine loom
Engine mounting arms
Upper and lower sump and pick up and maybe dipstick?
Inlet manifold both pieces
Probably some other parts too such as ignition related stuff and various sensors (brown and blue and crank sensor)

I paid about that for my last M40 - and it even came wrapped up in a minty fresh touring.

? i thought that was cheap, cheapest m40 i can get is 125 quid with 100k on the clock, so if the engine is as nice on the inside as it is on the outside, it will make a lovely motor. sent him another message about what he has actualy done to the engine (other then make it look pretty). waiting for a reply now. but i'll be taking the head off to make sure its not a turd!jmc330i wrote:£310???![]()

Ah, that makes a bit more sense - I'm on my phone and didn't let the whole page load.
Tbh, I don't know how much an M40 is to rebuild/refresh, but I guess as long as their warranty is any good....
Is there a 'make an offer' option? Can't see there being a huge rush on M40s (prob why its not an auction), so a sensible offer might be accepted.

nah, 125 quid is a bargain for a donk with a warranty mate but if i can get a full refurbed engine for a few hundred quid extra, why not?pacerpete wrote:My plug and play engine with a warranty for £125 is obviously too cheap ?
TBH i can see me getting your engine because the bloak off ebay seems reluctant to tell me what he's done with it

If I were looking for an M40 engine, and Pete made me an offer like that,I'd be up his back passage faster than a ferret on speed!iceox wrote:nah, 125 quid is a bargain for a donk with a warranty mate but if i can get a full refurbed engine for a few hundred quid extra, why not?pacerpete wrote:My plug and play engine with a warranty for £125 is obviously too cheap ?

I'd want to know who reconditioned the engine as well.
