Hi people.
I snapped the bonnet release cable from the plastic lever a while ago and have been using mole grips to pull the cable but unfortunately the wire has proper snapped today and i cant get the bonnet open, help!!!!
Anyone know how to get the bonnet open? And also can I get a new cable from somewhere (bmw?) or do I have to try and go for a secondhand one?
thanks matt.

The industry accepted practice is this;
Nearside refers to the l/h side of the vehicle
Offside refers to the r/h side of the vehicle.
These are viewed from the driver's seat,so drive side does not matter.

If we take your definition,how do we know which side of the vehicle is alongside the kerb?
I guess that those who refer to gloveboxes as 'cubbies'......

For the other problem here, the industry accepted practise is L is left side and R is right side
