i have a 1990 318is, what make are the original headlights on this model?, i have bosch ones in there, but a friend said the originals have the reg number on them also, is that true?

Bosch is correct and etching the reg numbers on the glass was never done by bmw and more likely to be have been done by some dole cheat cold calling at the door with a portable etching kit many years ago or in tesco's car park .
