hi all,

just wondering if anyone knows where i can get a replacement bulb for my key light? the spring on the button seems to be in good nick but the bulb was blown long ago. on these cold dark nights its more of a necessity than a luxury,as i dont fancy scratching the keyhole area to bits!

thanks in advance for any help.

regards,kc.

Firstly if you need to put the key in the lock, put your finger along the shaft of the key with about an inch overhang then you will not scratch the car!!

Back to the problem, try bmw you might be surprised......I think there about Ԛ£22 for an e30 key with light! But you dont get the key, there big bucks, but the light part will slide of the key! Replace with new light part

So when you buy this do you get just the bulb? or a battery? of the hole cluster?

Just push the button in as if you are operating the light, then the whole unit pulls out.

That is the part number for the bulb. They also do the battery or the complete light unit to slip into your existing key.

Dont believe everything bmw tells you, I asked about an mtec2 steering wheel a few years ago........the guy said we dont have any more! Went to my local bmw and the guy said yep, we can get hold of loads! Same with the convertible roof, people say bmw dont do them no more but when I asked about them, the guy said yes but there about Ԛ£4k

I said that a while back, same price for an mtec2 suede steering wheel from bmw! Yet people on flea-gay pay that for second hand ones! I was quoted slighty less than that t my local bmw:- Ԛ£206 inc vat
