Well having parted with my 320ise last year and driving around in an e36 for 5-6 months im glad to say i have an e30 again...

Image

1989 325i sport.

Im calling it a project due to it needing body work tlc. Engine runs fine bar an idle issues but im sure its nowt serious, really had no time to look into it.

Image

Most of it is original and have no plans on changing the looks. Its on standard springs as far as im aware and im not going down the 60mm drop route as i have done in the past simply because i can drive this comfortably around town and looks pretty damn good already.

Has had a fairly new Tech 2 wheel and 1 piece gearknob which a zoner recently pointed out, i hadn't noticed and it looks awesome now i know.

Very tidy interior with fairly mint cloth seats, all the other sport bits. It comes with air-con but its shagged, no OBC but the retro clock :( .

Image

Image

My plans for it are to get it looking presentable and enjoy it over the summer, the paint is very flat so its getting a machine polish soon. Rear disks need replacing, bit of play in the steering wheel and an idle issue are hopefully being checked and sorted next few days hopefully.

Come winter time im gonna strip it and cry at all the rust behind the kit, under the carpet and anywhere else i find it.
Though i am preparing for the worst , i feel its time for me to restore an e30, or at least try.
Rear arches are showing rust, nearside more. Bubbles on both scuttles, bubbles on sunroof and some can be seen on the doors behind the skirts buts thats for later.

Image

And yes it does say Sport on the logbook! :D

Kos i will call later in week when holidays start.

Spook there was nothing wrong with the e36, infact it was a really well set up car, fast and handled beautifuly it just has no character like the e30's do imo.
Sold it to a track instructor and he fookin loved it, from Hemel Hamstead, anyone know it? I can't remember the name he said.

Satty the sounds sound rubbish need a better amp!

Thanks for the comments. :D

Just sharing some pics up of the e30. These were taken at Bummerflex once everyone had nearly gone, never really had a big field and blue sky to myself....

Only changes so far have been to the interior...

13 button OBC nearly fully fitted
Cruise control to be fitted
Heated seats to be fitted
Super mint facia, hazard and demister switch replaced as the old one's were cracked
Tweeter pods fitted (tweeter-less atm)

Still need to get...

Leather handbrake gaitor
Rear parcel shelf with blind

Front suspension is getting an overhaul these next few weeks to sort out the shity handling. Still needs a mop as the paint is dull then thats all till the winter.

It's served me well so far and looking foward to the work ahead....Not!!

Thanks chaps.

I have grey cloth sports seats which im feeling over leather tbh. The top tint to me is a bit council in my eyes. I think since owning this i have proved to myself that i am a true OEM homo.

Will get some pictures up, it's a nice place to be.

Sunny I live in Hounslow actually and studying in Cardiff at the moment, I used to work in the Twickenham Halfords. Currently working part-time in a Cardiff branch. Don't really like the company but it pays for the few things on the car lol

How comes you ask?
