Today is a very sad day, went outside this morning to empty the bin...and the drive is empty. Where my pride and joy of last 10 years should have been, just an empty driveway. Have been kicking myself all day long as to why did not try and squeeze in the garage every night - but there you go. Reg is F640 UPA, 1989 lachs silver 325i sport auto. Really good condition, totally standard... I've spent a lot keeping in good nick. Not that I'm hoping, for one moment that will ever see again, I live in a tiny cul de sac so have a feeling those who stole knew what they wanted. Am now dreading the battle with insurers. Have some pics and of course my book (or wad) of history to prove money spent but any tips on how to get the best possible market value from insurance?
Thanks all
Ian

Really sorry to hear this. If you can bear to, please put up pictures of the car if you have any and state your location. It may help with tracking the car down.
Perhaps the mods would be kind enough to sticky this thread for a while.
Personally I would (and will myself) keep an eye on ebay for a car matching your description (except with a different numberplate).
Sports models seem to have been the main target for a few years now.

Gutted for you. So many of os have experienced exactly this, but that doesn't help you at all at the moment, or ever.
At least you had it insured, when mine went it was on TP only....

These are sensations as hard to forget as they are to ignore.....
get some pics up asap and get down to your local council to request cctv footage and draw up a possible route the fuckers could of gone down, trail around and ask if you could see cctv footage from shop owners/ possibly neighbours, police wont do fuck all, you need to do it yourself!
get up early tomorrow and see if any cctv cameras around your area have picked anything up, with the amount of cameras in the uk something somewhere should of picked it up, if you come across anything send it in to the police and considering the tech in todays day and age they could probably blow it up and run it through a face recognition system if the tossers been nicked previously,
