Iv finished my m52 build and everything is perfect apart from the speedo not working. Since swapping over my lsd for a rebuilt 3.15 5 series medium case diff I have no speedometer readings. Im using my old e30 rear plate on the diff. The speedo was working fine with the old diff. Iv tried another set of clocks, another speed signal sensor plug at the diff, chopping out the last 1 meter of cable going to the diff with another plug to fit to the sensor, no joy.

Everything works on in the clocks, just no speedo. Could it be that the wheel inside the diff is not suitable for the e30 sensor?

I have a lovely performance ECU from Danthe thats crying out to be abused but it needs a speed signal :(

Its probably a different wheel like you say, you might be able to get it working with a different sensor though before pulling the diff apart

From what I can make out from realoem there is a different sensor before and after facelift. Im 99% sure both of the sensors I have are post facelift so Il try a pre-facelift one and say a prayer. thanks!
