I have done a search on the 2.7 conversion and Im afraid Im getting a lot of conflicting answers back which has left me stumped. I also read the Total BMW article as well and its confusing.

SO can anyone point me or tell me from start to finish what I need to do. I have a 325 engine and the 525eta engine so where do I start?? Is there a link to someone that has done it??

Sorry for posting something that has been answered before.

If you want to do it properly and get over 200 bhp and not blow the too much money heres a quick list. This has been used by 2 zoners who have got over 200bhp.

Use your ETA crank and get some early 325i pistons and use eta rods
Make sure the bores are good in the block you use
PIstons will need skirts shortening

POrt Head (Ԛ£300)
Schrick 284/272 cam (no piston mods required) or Dbilas cam

Get everything measured up making sure you get something like 10.2:1 compression ratio.

At this point you should achieve 200 bhp even with your AFM.

Next stage woould be to either install megasqurit or MAF conversion with a good 6 branch manifold.

You should see very near 210 bhp or maybe more with around 200-215 lb.ft torque.

Alternatively buy the touring with the c2 2.7 Alpina engine in it advertised somewhere.

ETA Crank, ETA Rods, Early B25 Pistons with shortend skirts.

Which Head ?
Which Block?
