That is lovely. Check out the period Pioneers in the rear shelf! Look to be TS-1655's which would date perfectly to the 1985 plate. Looks like they even sit in the correct spacer rings that tilt them forward slightly.
Need to lose that Halfords battery though. and are the side repeaters correct????

Is that a moon roof on the silver one? Or is it just open? And an m-tech body kit on the optimistically priced red one?

It is indeed a glass sunroof in the silver one but could be an aftermarket version. There were a few companies around back then offering power sunroof fits in glass.
First off I thought it was a Zender kit on the henna car but yes, those side skirts look OEM to me (a tad tech 1).

It does look that way. The gearbox in that may well be worth a few quid if it is what I think it is too.
