Has anyone used one of these kits? I need to repair a blind hole in aluminium.

I've used helicoil kits many times, they work fine. I've also used Neilson drill bits and they were dog shit. Think you need to spend a little more to do the job properly.

I guess so, anything would be better than the other one.

V.coil are good quality, ive used them to hold headbolts down without problems. Rip-off of Recoil which are one of the original and leading brands

OK. So if Recoil are a leading brand then this looks like the best option

I have used Recoil in work, Good stuff just take your time doing the job and read the instructions, and do a trial run on sommet else if you have not used these before.
