Hi chaps..

Just a quick question..

I recently got my 15" bbs wheels refurbished by lepsons, I've just realised that when I attach the middle logo part of the centre cap to the actaul metal part of the cap it doesn't seem to hook in..

There seems to be something missing!!

Does anyone know how what could be missing from the cap?

The cap also does not bolt onto the wheel at this stage...

From memory it should just clip into place, as shown in the pic above.

That's what I though but it doesn't!

How does the logo part or the hexagonal part connect to the bigger part of the cap?

Im sure there should be some sort of ring that sits inside to tighten it up come to think of it.

Is there a ring present? In the hexagon part.

From memory, the outer plastic hexagonal piece pushes into an inner plastic piece and the two are held together with a circular wire clip.

there should be a part numbered 09.23.117 this accepts the hex section, but you need to press it in fairly hard and you'll know when it's in place it shoud click loudly..

make sure the allignment tab from the metal waffle part, locates through the 09.23.117 part

probably you're not pressing hard enough, try starting around one edge, using your thumbs at the back of the cap.

the metal ring bit puts a preload on the 3 plastic tangs, so isn't really involved with assemble of the cap itself.

RS caps are different, they use a similar wire ring to retain the waffle to the nut..
