the kit is original bmw, (or at least I think) made of plastic as the m tech2. I have never seen it either before the day I discovered it, stocked; I was told that was much more expesive than the m tech2 and never sold for this reason. From the warehouse I bought it, there are a couple more to sell For the side skirts and the rear apron -front apron doesnt exist- I paid 300 euros (9 pieces) and came complet with the original instructions and everything needed, glue included, but due to the long time stocked the glue was useless. The front poiler is original alpina through the german site and costed 400 euro pp included. for it have a look on

thats a nice kit but i want to go with the m tech 2 kit.i know the oem kits are hard to get but i have time and even if i have to piece it together from several sellers.
]what i want to know is if i get an m tech 2 kit ,dose it have to be one
from the cabrio,because i have a 1992 cabrio
or can an m tech 2kit from any 2door non cabrio fit.
ARE THE SIDES PIECES OF THE MTECH 2 DIFFERENT FOR THE CABRIO OR IS IT THE SAME AS THE 2DOOR SEDAN(sport you chaps call lt)

the lower part for the cabrio is wider than the the the standar car. both times I adapted side skirts. the first time the mtech 1 and now the one you see I had to adapt it on the lower end (they came further out) and finaly it was ok. I dont know about mtech 2 if can be modified. What you can do is to go in bmw part store and find out if it is a different part number for the cabrio side skirts . My opinion is that it will fit but you will drill new holes on the lower part to fix it since it wont come to the sill. If you dont get an answer let me know so I take a picture of how I did it in my car

you dont get the front spoiler. In the german site
http://www.fmw-onlineshop.de/frame.htm
you will find it under the e30, alpina
you use the plastic bumber you have but you paint it as I did, and the spoiler goes underneath. On the back you use only the inside part of the bumper and the procedure is explained in the manual that comes along

i have been considering the same on my 92 cab front wings are beginning to bubble at the bottom so if i have to get the rust sorted i thought why not get it sorted and cover it with a tech two kit and improve the looks and hide the nasty black paint on the sills i am looking for a kit....but prices vary so much and the etk shows there is quite a lot to get for the fitting kit
by the way etk does show a different sill cover for the cab ..................but to convert it what has to be done.....cheers
