60k, that sounds good! IMO, you should consider selling that and buying a group N engine for less money. Will have more miles on, but they are always looked after well cz they have a team of mechanics!
Just a thought

Well i reckon you could get a lot for an engine with that kind of milage, thats really low. Speak to experts like Nigel Moseley, Barney Halse or Alex Elliott about a race engine.
That is if you want a dedicated track car?

We emailed each other last week about the evo cam gear I have for sale. Now that I know what you are trying to achieve ie. a track car, I would advise you not to buy it.
It's ideal for street use but not for the track, where the engine spends most of it's time in the upper rev range.

Hi Adrian, well i have been dreaming about it for ages, and the other day it became a reality, I got a Good engine for track use only, dont know what to do with it really.

Not heard it running and have no proof that its really done 60k, but from this pic you can see its very very very clean! The same goes for the bottom end.
What do you guys think?
Andrew

No, not evo cams, an evo cam gear that bolts to the end of the exhaust cam318-is wrote:why cant he use evo cams on the track?

Forgot,
It alters the torque curve which means you have more lower in the Rev range and for track you want long gear gearbox and high revving engine with narrow band top end power.

It retards the Exhaust cam by 6deg and this helps with exhaust scavenging.
