General consensus here and on PH is that Glass's only covers up to 1992. So how they got a value from Glass's for a 1990 car is anyone's guess...
As the for classic / agreed value policies: I looked originally but either I was too young or the car was (Both 21 at the time)

And the ones that would quote me were about a grand more than my insurer. Looks like it might have been money well spent though

One thing a friend pointed out is that below about £1500 the insurance quote will INCREASE because you're less likely to care about the car (supposedly). I've not run my own quotes to confirm that but it makes sense
