Do any of the models offer a switch inside the car for locking the doors. Handy in the rougher parts of town where I'd like to lock the doors.
Or is it a case of manually wiring a switch.

I can do that but I wanted a proper job, just wondered if it was fitted to any of the models.

not that i know of.
i cant see how wiring in a switch which you still have to press is any easier than just pushint the lock button on the door
cars only tend to have a button if they have no lock buttons on the doors, or ones which recess right into the door cover so you cant grip them to pull them up.

Easy enough to do this on the c/l relay using a window switch. Been done often on E24s. Never understood the attraction though.
