Almost finished my car rebuild, took it out for a quick run yesterday, 2 things not working - horn and engine temp.
Horn is a bodgery from the previous owner so I'll redo it, but for those who have done the e36 swap I has a question or 2:
1) Where is the brown sensor? I can see the blue one under the inlet manifold. Is it right underneath it?
2) Did this need changed, looks like a 2 pin sensor from the ETM:
e30 Coolant Temp Sender - Pin 4 C101 to Pin 26 C1
e36 - sensor B6232 - this is connected to Pin 11 and Pin 12 on the X20 connector. The wiring swap I used indicates pin 11 X20 is connected to pin 20 C101 but this doesn't seem right..
Temp gauge e36 M42

Nevermind... they are different and it's right under the intake manifold
I'll schedule that one with a coolant hose/intake delete
