Backing plate rubbing if bent/rotten?
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

Finished exhaust today, however seems quite loud ? is this because the exhaust technically is not made for that engine ?
Also the down pipes knock of the bodywork
anyway i can now MOT it, not convinced it will pass but hey ho

not happy with the way the front sits but its missing the bracket

M3 battery panel wont fit with a diesel washer bottle so i used the small 4 pot wiring cover

had a look at the grinding noise, there was a bolt that had came out to hold the caliper on
managed to to a temp repair for mot

Dizzy cap will be identical to an M20 one (same part number) number 1 is nearest the dizzy and 6 is nearest the bulk head.
Cant remember the order they fit on but the numbers should be printed on the cap somewhere.

What else is worth checking, can faulty temp sensors cause it to drop a few cylinders ?

For a start it looks like you have M20 type leads on it, where they connect to the dizzy they should be angled like this.

They may be aftermarket? to test the leads they should read between 5-6K ohm from end to end. King lead should read under 2K ohm.
Situations like this you need the car on your drive so you can mess when you have a spare 5 mins, light nights FTW.
