Locksmiths supply the square/rectangle looking key.
Whats dodgy about it?

I bought a set off ebay and had a normal locksmith cut them for me. Much stronger and better looking than the satandard replacement keys.

I had my local keycutter order in 2 keys and cut them for me. 7 quid each. Top quality keys too.! Don't say BMW on them, but they're much better than the old bent keys I had before.!

Oh, no, they were genuine, not from Thailand. I am not sure what I paid (no more than £20) or how much they will be from a dealer. I believe in the saying "Buy Cheap, Buy Twice".

I did the same and took it to a key cutting place to be cut.
Genuine BMW key FTW.

If you're really tight-fisted, bmminiparts sometimes used to have them for a couple of quid apiece..
