Read axle bushes, should I go with power flex or get standard BMW ones. I'm replacing both axle to chassis and the rear trailing arm bushes.
Cheers kurt

Divided opinion. Anything's better than a pair of shagged bushes, but some complain that the powerflex ones are a bit too firm. A user on here called DanThe sells inserts to stiffen up OEM bushes.
Whichever you choose, here's the fitting guide.

Hey Kurt,
I personally would go for powerflex stuff, I like the quality and they aren't going to corrode and fall to bits. Some of them are also easier to install then OEM.
Although OEM bushes are great and have lasted 20+ years in our cars, I sometimes think they wear prematurely if your car is lowered with stiffer springs, bigger heavier wheels with low profile tyres give the OEM stuff more abuse than they were designed for...
The decision is yours.!

I use polybushes everywhere on my E30's except the rear beam mount.
The rear beam is designed to move slightly in use to give a touch of 'rear wheel steer',this helps the car to corner properly.Polybushes remove this, and you could find yourself heading for a ditch/wall/field/other traffic backwards very quickly.
Fine for a trackday car, where you have the room to find and exploite it's limits...
