Need a spare set of wheels / tyres for the track car...

Was thinking of a set of 14" steels and tyres - 195-60-vr14 potenza re71r (see pic) and see this link

or a set of 14" steels (see pic)

with a set of 195/45/14 Falken ZE 512's...

What do you reckon...?

Don't want to destroy my BBS's, or have to pay out for a set of 17" tyres for the Alpinas...

Just tossing a few ideas around at the moment...

Giles.

Steelies or bottletops, whatever you can get your hands on.

But tyres are definately important.

With the crappy tyres which are on my car now, if I push too hard I get scary understeer.

The top Steelies are 'lightweight' steelies and ONLY Ԛ£40 at the moment! Couldn't get a set of Bottletops and decent tyres for that money!

Got excellent tyes on my Sport's BBS's, but don't want to ruin them, and I'm not convinced the Alpina reps would be any good for the track...

I'd go for the lightweight steelies but if i was looking for track tyres i'd be far more tempted by the semi-slick type Dunlops or Yokos.

I think officially, with a 14" rim you should run a 65 profile tyre.
