A very caked neighbour of mine with a similar hankering for odd scrap was going to check it out today, I have tried ringing but no answer. I hope he has rescued it, I'll get to drive it / fix it and he pays win win win ! :D

No , another sick VERY caked hero. Alas he didn't buy it. The seller would not end the auction early. He left it too late, the time to pounce with the bag of shekels is at the beginning of the auction, not the end :(
