Right the time has come to upload pictures of work carried out on my car over the last 4 months along with a description of what has been done.

New dashboard
Full service
Oil filter/Fuel filter
New spark plugs
New fan belt
New cam belt
New water pump
New thermostat
New thermostat temp sensor blue and brown
New gearbox seal on the out put shaft
New brake fluid
New coolant
New gear box oil
New cam shaft along with seals
New gaskets all round including head
New head bolts
New exhaust manifold nuts/studs
New k & n air filter
New window wiper relay
New Z3 short shift gear linkage
New window washer pump
New radiator
New spax shocks and springs all round
New power flow exhaust
New heavy duty diesel battery
New fog light switch
New fog lights
New indicator lenses front
Rear brake lights changed
New distributor and dizzy rotary arm
New sound padding(under bonnet)
New kidney grill
New Matt's
New speakers all 4
New Clifford alarm concept 650
New gear knob and gaiter
New head unit

Head removed / skimmed / reset the valves / new valve guides

All parts removed from engine painted Matt black to give clean look

I would like to thank everyone that has got me parts and helped me with advice.

I have not finished yet so will be posting more, I'm sure it is not to everone's liking but i love it.

Cheers mate, all my parts have proberly set me back £1500. For a full price break down will have to go through all my paper work.

Was there anything in specific you wanted to know?

The head skimmed, valves and valve guides cost me £140 in that they also cleaned the head and checked if all was ok.

The cam shaft i got for £105 MRP 339.99

I got it from ebay, but i would not recommend it the adhesive is shit it didn't stick to well. I had to get some more adhesive and touch it up.

You can get them original bmw parts of the zone only a few ££ in it. I would get them of here.

Right update so far done 700 miles since rebuild, did an oil change along with filter. Added new number plates, clear side indicators, strut brace took the head light trim and scuttle panels of rubbed down and painted matt black to give a nice clean look.

I take it your not a fan?

Never know i may put them back on, i still do have them. I want to get it back from the body shop to see what i do.

I do like them tho.

Hopefully it goes in on friday.

I would defo put the standard lights back on. The car is retro especially with that colour and it just doesnt tie in with the rest of the car imo.

I do agree with you the car is retro, i was dead against them before i put them on but they have grown on me, like i said i'm going to wait till i get it back from paint.
