The bearing itself is the same, but the mount has fixing holes at different spacing.
Ebay part number is the pre facelift version.

That's the correct part number for the facelift version.
I've no idea or comment on the quality of this item, other than they do not make OE parts for BMW.

I'm interested in this subject myself, do we have a DIY on changing out the prop center bearing? I think its what causing a couple little knocks when I take off and a fast rotary, metallic rubbing spinning sound above 30mph.

Don't think so, I'm gonna be swapping out basically everything, rear subframe etc, but I assume to remove the prop bearing you'd need to split the exhaust and remove shields, remove bolts at the diff and box, and before removal tippex it in the middle and to be extra at the diff and box cause it's balanced,

While your there you might as well change the guibo as well,

But yeah it's my first time doing it as well, so
Not 100%

Is there loads of play in your center bearing? What are your reasons for changing it?

Centre bearing is essentially mounted in the middle of a piece of sheet rubber. Usual reason for changing it is that the rubber sheet has torn, and the bearing is almost unsupported.

It's not making any dodgy noises I'm refurbing the rear end bushes fitting an m20 and LSD etc so I'm just gonna replace it all with new parts only removing it all once, so might as well

Would the unsupported bearing make any noises? What would the noticeable symptoms be whilst driving?
