ill probably take it to the Port a run in the summer!

Its my first E30, wanted one for a long time, have always been a fan of the 325's aswell.

I'll probably go for a safety devives cage, that runs in front of the dash, dont want to be too mean on it, cutting the dash!

I have a Evo II S14 lined up for after christmas, so ill do a bit of light tuning to it, and keep the car light

Howzit, i did some quick research on these Cecotto models, and i am amazed someone actually allowed their car get to that state. Good one for saveing her. From what i read, they came with plaques in the car. A picture diary is a great idea, Good luck with it Dude.

Im missing my plague, and they seem to have been randomly numbered!

I dont understand why it was stripped, but I suppose thats life, and I couldn't have afforded it, if it was sitting in its full glory, so maybe a blessing in disguise. 8)

I will go with the cage, after christmas, I'll be getting the engine/box, and interior, and all will be fitted fairly soon after, so it'll be only the exterior to finish.

I have some new parts on way for it, in the next fortnight,

-A M88 e28 m5 engine,

-A M88 loom, ecu, intake plenum & afm

-A m535i thats donating its dog leg box, dash loom, obd computers and some other bits, like the aux's for the m88 engine, the rad, coolant pipes, mountings. Rest of it will be parted out to reclaim some money. Maybe be getting some other parts of it aswell.

-A 325i in need of repair, thats giving me a Scorpion exhaust, uprated shocks and springs, maybe dash if I want convert to RHD (pulls on flame retardant suit). Also giving me the interior (tempory until I get the proper M3 leather), and gear linkages etc, which ill probably change to Z4, and random futtery parts.

-Evo Sport genuine rear guerney flap

-Also have the original clocks, cecotto side sills, and lower part of rear spoiler

-Have genuine EvoII front and rear bumpers en route.

Im trying to sort a cage at the mo, and also am thinking off buying a carbon bonnet and colour coding it, and seen a zoner has a c/f sunroof on ebay, i'd like to have a working version, and colour code it (noveilty reasons). Should have wheels and other parts sorted soon from Guerrila.

Does anyone have any contacts with people that used to own Cecotto's? I want to find the plaque!

So it'll be going to be getting underway soon! Decided against the s14 engine, way too expensive, and difficult to get, when going to all the bother, I may aswell go for more power and 6 cylinders. Im aware it will now be more front heavy etc, but sure you cant be perfect always.

Hopefully my street will be filling up with BMW related parts next week, and then the work will start, I'll be trying to get pictures done throughout, as much as anything so I can ask those knowledgable souls among us questions!
