Silly question, will m3 throttle bodies fit my 325i? I was thinking of fitting gsxr bodies (eventually) but they're possibly a bit small.

The spacing of the M3 bodies is the same as the M20, but you'll need to get an inlet manifold made up to mate the flanges on the bodies to the ports.
Doing much the same thing ourselves for our race engine, unless we suddenly find another 2K, in which case we'll get some Jenveys!!

Edit: Pleeeaaaase dont join it up with bits of hose - it looks rubbish and all the joints cause power loss.

What diameter are they? My bike throttle bodies are 38mm.

M3 throttles are 2 big, gsxr ones are better sized for an m20. Did the m3throttles several years ago notworth the pain.

Well it cost a lot for the throttle bodies manifold and a low fi turbo setup would of made more power, the throttle bodies are 2 big.
Also an m20 is a well matched engine on terms of compents so you need a decent exhuast manifold, ported head, big cam, bigger valves, stand alone ECU to get the benifits of the throttle bodies which comes to about £2.5k worth of work.
Stock inlet sysem is good for north of 200 BHP so you want o be making about 220 to spend money on throttle bodies.

At most i'd be using 38mm throttles or 40mm on a big stroker. The port proper is excessively large currently
