Does it matter if you don't turn up in an E30?

No, not at all. Just don't park a polo in the middle of a line of E30s as it'll mess up the pics.

What's needing done to get the touring up and running ?

Thats me out. I just finished my Panda M52. :(

I'm considering going but it's my only day off in the middle of some 16 days on so I might just be lazy and bide in my scratcher.

Given the distance to travel and your work commitments, I'd recommend the scratcher option.

Hopefully catch up at the next one or Glamis at the latest.

Well that would be fine but I might not re-insure the fecker. Think it has a month to go.

Split decision on the morning I think.

I'm getting pestered to give up the m42 as hes looking for more mpg as a 325i just isnt viable mpg wise. Only good for weekends or those who dont work far away.

Plan for IS was for it to be a daily driver with a 325 diff on it but as the list of issues grows rapidly its 50/50 whether it will stay on the road.

I hear it's got a nice quiet diff on it at the moment winkeye

Decisions, decisions. Chris (Chips) has just stuck his M42'd 2 door up for sale. Not cheap but full of goodies and a lovely interior.

I'd never use my E30 as a daily as my diesel Czech warrior is still returning 55mpg and it's quicker than my 325i.

Let me know if you need any help bud.

Not really nope. Good to put some more names to faces.

30+ PM's and no additions to the list yet

Yes the diff is quiet, actually its the quietest thing on the car, apart from the stereo (One working speaker.)
The diff will be returned to its rightful owner.
I'll let you know if i need any help bud. :D

Got your PM about this, unfortunately my Beemer has been off the road for nearly 2 years now, just sheer neglect since buying another toy, I'm still intending in getting it back up and running and finish off what I started, be good to catch up with everyone again, it's been a while, However will check my plans for at home this time, might pop along in the Scoob...

ps - Glad to see Grant still has the Cabbie

Cabbie is alive and well, apart from still not getting an MOT yet.... Only because I'm having so much fun in the touring. ;)
Pop along in any car, it's always good to "talk" E30's.

Really all i need is some motivation. oh and a handbrake, mot, tax and insurance.
Also wouldn't mind swapping the 2.5 for a 1.9 m44 from an e36 compact but i really don't have the motivation to do that.

Anyway I might make it along in a retro 90's German saloon...

I've got a spare handbrake lever in the garage, but there's no MOT, Tax or Insurance in stock.

Handbrake isn't a bad job generally - you have the adjuster you can access from the rear disk when the wheels are off and there's a simple process for cleaning up the inside of the disks without taking them apart - apparently it's recommended maintenance procedure. winkeye

Sorry i shouldve written handbrake cables, I have everything else. The cables aren't connected to anything. Been quoted £60 a side which I think is reasonable. I already had lots of fun playing with the handbrake for the last mot which the car just made it through because of the rubbish handbrake efficiency.

M42 for sale on the Parts for Sale section. Low mileage, sounds like a good un.

Depending on when we get back from the fishing trip I might make it but it wont be in the E30. But would be a nice spanking Overfinch Rangie we got on a cheap hire for the weekend.

I was talking to one of the Northern England chapter this evening and he may be paying us a visit at Boyds.

It'll be a sad situation if we have to draft in subs to keep the numbers up.

One a more positive note, all his cars are belters so there'll be something to drool over.
