Right..
Seeing as its my first year over here, and first time seeing snow( yeah!!!!) what do you do to your car to prepare for the driving/parking of your car?
Back in Oz, I think you had to put your wipers up when you went to the snowfields to stop the wipers from sticking and freezing to the windscreen and breaking the blade.
Snow chains as well.
How much of this is true.. and will it be required in the UK?
Driving tips??
Snow.. and what to do

hi m8
ive never seen enough snow here to require snow chains so your safe on that point. Yeah the wiper blades up can be a good idea so long as a local chav dosen't see it as an opportunity to nick them for a laugh.
Make sure your battery is in good nick and that you have descent wiper blades. Don't forget the obvious things like making sure you've got plenty of water and windscreen wash avaliable.
make sure your right foot is wearing a slightly lighter boot than usual and that your on the ball with your reactions cause on snow everything seems to go more sideways alot faster ,lol.
apart from that enjoy it.

throw all that away, welcome to the UK!
snow = fun and lots of it with any RWD car. Care must be taken and good car control is a nesseccity lol!
usually we dont get much snow but when we do just drive slower and avoid slippery roads basically. The local authorities usually put down grit on the roads to stop snow and ice forming on them

As the others have said there's nothing to worry about really - I'd be more bothered about the damage that the cold starts do

Luckly I dont need my car for work so when it does snow I dont drive it. The main roads are all covered in salt (salt and E30's dont mix) and other drivers havent had enough experience to know how to drive in snow safely. So it stays in the garage where no one can damage it.

Most importate is to wash your car pretty much every week, you'll save money in the long run!The local authorities usually put down grit on the roads to stop snow and ice forming on them
