I need to cut out some bits of rot on my floorpan and sills and weld in some fresh metal.

What thickness of steel should I use? Would 20 swg (0.9mm) be the best?

Cheers

! used 1mm and it was just a bit too thick, so 0.9mm would be perfect I imagine.

Went there today karan and asked them for mild steel for floor panels and they didn't know what thickness to use. They didn't even know that 18 swg is thicker than 20 swg! Got 20 in the end.
