It's a joke! You should be able to tax your car monthly, no wonder I've only done about 2k miles in 2 years.

I insured my car for a year on the first of August, non-refundable. The car snapped its cam belt three weeks later, and it's been in my garage ever since...

Who would have thought it. West coast of Scotland has seen very little rain at all, not the warmest but had the cabby out most days, fingers crossed it will be back in the road on Saturday.
Why cant you drive cabbies in the rain? Thats when i have the most fun in mine!

My cabby has been taxed since 1st March, used it one day (as a wedding car) and it's been relegated back into the garage since then. Seem to prefer my touring (impulse buy) just now...........

Taxed the cabbie from 1 April, took it for fuel on 1 April, went for a quick blast and a bird flew through the windscreen(it was so clean it thought it was'nt there)...took three weeks to get the correct replacement

Taxed mine like some of you on the 1st April. Serviced it, put new discs and pads on, got all the work done that needed to be done for the Mot pass, replaced rear axel bushes. All in all a she'd load of money of it to driven back and garaged.
Not had the chance to clean it, fuel it or bed the brakes in!
It never comes out unless the sun is out so it done about 300 miles since the last MOT.
Fecking weather. You guys are right, we should
Tax much later because the weather is nicer in October and November than it is in spring

I taxed mine 1st October and driven it since. It due for re-tax on 1st October so will tax it again and drive it, after all its just a bladdy car. Although i get you cab owners are cautious what with the roof getting wet and all, but doesn't storing a car for 6-7 months in a garage do more damage than good? I mean damp? Car not getting a run? Things seizing up etc etc? How do you guys prep for this? Or is it just parked and left?
