just fitted a e46 quick rack well actually I'm standing in the garage right this second finishing it

just gotta get a new set of shells and I can put it all bk together

Both car and work looking good.
You should weld a couple of connections between top and bottom of the intake to reinforce them, think their gonna flex/bend under boost.

that wont flex mate its 10swg thats 3.2 thick that will be pretty ridged when done

well i know 1.5 mm wall will hold 9 bar of pressure so im sure 3.2mm of wall will hold 1 bar lol

Do agree, but have seen several dynopapers with 420 - 450hk at a bit over 1 bar.
And a friend of mine thas has a DeTomaso Pantera with brand new 500hk engine from Ford Racing says that the ix is going to outrun him after some funtime with him as passenger..

so what exactly is your engine specs different pistons ? bigger injectors what ?
because you will lose alot of bhp tho your drive chain

not sure what he is going on about ross but to see 450hp you will need approx 1.5 bar on an M20n but this is a struggle through M20 due to the exhaust set-up etc if you could have larger downpie etc reduce backpresse etc left hookers are at a serious advantage
but there are lost of things you can doo it dpends how far you want to go as yours is still a road car.

mines a 3inch down pipe and full exhaust so should be fine on mine mate

erm at a guess and the what my mapping guy said about 280 300 that was plenty quick enough I can tell ya showed off a couple of tvrs and a super bike ;)

300 is a good place to be mine had 360 and it was well lairy but when i had it up to about 400 it was a loon machine straight line was a diffcult task...

Its not that i think ive got 450, but i seriously smoked a volvo v70r awd recently. And i know that volvo got a bit over 300hp, so its a hard guess..
Mine is on stock compression and has 380cc injectors. Got 650cc laying so in a few days i will pull the intake and clean/paint stuff and get them mounted.
