just seen spacers on ebay and currently not fitted any to my alloys, they are 205/40/17 wheels, i think the offset is 35mm or 40mm, what would you guys recommend to bring it nicely in line with the car in terms of spacer sizes for front and back?

Personally I wouldn't as 35mm is the correct offset for the E30.

I've got exactly the same wheels as you and I'm pretty happy that they clear everything and maintain the correct offset :)

I think the "factory" BBS are about 25. A lower offset will give you more track which could help handling but I doubt another 20mm is going to have any noticable effect so it is really up to you. If the 35 fits (doesn't rub anywhere even on full lock) the like Turbo-Brown said that is the offset of the normal wheels (I think bottlecaps or whatever you guys call them) so you could keep them like that.

yeah it fines on full lock and everything doesn't rub at all, i remember trying to get wheel spacers from a shop before and they only had universal ones told the guy hasn't got any and he was surprised to hear that it dont rub lol! But its more a case of the wheels sit a bit inside of the arch and wantd to bring them out just to level it with the car just wandering if anyone else done the same as I've seen from sites that the recommended offset is 15-18mm!

I run with 205/50/16 with an offset of 25mm with no problems, i used to get a small amount of tyre rub on the back when accelerating hard.

Would an offset of 40mm be ok on a 325i cab does anyone know, they are 215/35/18 on 8.5 rims?
